She Talks To Angels, by the Black Crowes
Don't get me wrong, the song sounds real nice, including the vocals. It's the lyrics that absolutely ruin it for me. It's really overdramatic overall, and I cringe hard everytime at the part about the chick in the song carrying some kid's lock of hair in her pocket. I mean, wtf is that mess? It's weird af, srs

I guess that could justify it. I always assumed it was a random kid they were talking about in the song, or not her kid anyway, because they make no direct references to that (kinda weird to refer to a kid and their mom while talking about them as if they could potentially be strangers to one another based on lack of details). And most of all, who dedicates a song of that nature to fawning over a single mother "talking to angels'" and chit? lol
Thanks for the input though, interesting perspective
No, you're right, that "Happy" song is stupid as hell. I've never even known anyone who genuinely liked it. All I ever saw when it came on or got talked about was dudes groaning about how terribly that song is. Maybe women like it? But it always struck me as one of those songs that most people think blows, but the music execs were determined to push it to the moon no matter what, especially since it's such an incredibly safe and inoffensive song in terms of subject matter.

Anything by Coldplay.
Hate them, can't stand to listen to any of their chit. How anyone likes them is beyond me. They played a Coldplay song at a funeral I went to, and I wanted to scream, would honestly rather pour mercury into my ears.
WTF does Coldplay even mean? What a stupid band name.Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.

For me OP not really hate, but Freebird really got annoying after awhile in my bar hopping days in College...It's like every time the song came on everyone would freak out, and start flickering their lighters. Good song, but damn it's not THAT great.

Mornin'....+1
Yep....that's the first song that came to me when I read the thread title.
I was in college at that time and it was played ad nauseam.
I also agree with many of the other submissions.
Ohhh....the subjectivity of it all.
