Staying on the west coast near Fort myers - Im very very new to the state (not aware)
- So many old white boomers here. But all seem very nice, talkative, and overall great people (and all of them wear golf polos and shorts with a sort of boomer gut)
-People seem genuinely happy/smilling and engage in conversation with others/strangers
-So many white people in general. Went to a spring training game and it was honestly 99% white people (crowd of several thousand). maybe this is just a west coast thing
- Didn't know white american born male uber drivers exist, but I've had multiple here
- Have seen more more Rolex Submariners in a few days here than in years in NYC. Every 78 year old is walking around with one here (even the elderly guys clipping tickets at the spring training games)
-Food is terrible here (too many chains) / pizza is an abomination
Honestly if I could make a decent amount of money here, I'd consider moving to this area. It feels like how San Diego felt to me when I would visit my grandparents a LONG time ago (before it went off the deep end).

You got a pretty decent read on the place. LOTS of well off white boomers in the smaller Florida coastal towns and cities, and lots of blacks and hispanics in the bigger ones. And yeah there are truly some pockets of paradise here (mostly where the white people are)
Sadly, Florida is full. As such, we thank you for visiting and kindly request you head back up north ASAP. Cheers m8

this sounds pathetic but I dont think I can take the sun here. its totally draining me (I just want to sleep in the afternoon). 85 degrees here feels a lot more draining than 85 degrees up north (and its not even humid right now). I think its the actual angle of the sun.
im a total office cubecell slave worker so Im not acclimated as well

Did not have the same white experience you did when I was in Orlando recently. When I was on the bus it was always minimum 80% black, usually more like 95%. Lots of zombie drug addicts and homeless on the streets. Saw a guy in a downtown Orlando park wearing a dress and no underwear, legs fully apart. There were kids all over the place.
Weather was warm though.

Don’t come to Orlando it’s going downhill fast. Half the people around here don’t speak English anymore. It was nothing like this when I was younger.
If I could get a decent remote gig I’d move elsewhere within Florida.Bench - 315lbs
Squat - 365lbs
Deadlift- 500lbs

I moved to Miami beach about 6 weeks ago. Foods good, beautiful women everywhere, white is the minority (although everybody votes trump), traffic sucks. It's got its ups and downs for sure but I like it.
