Have never seen evidence of that in my life, worked as a mechanic for years; the only time uneven tire wear matters is if it's AWD(you have to replace all 4 at once)

JFL I just went & checked the tread depth on one of my RWD vehicles & the front are 1.5mm taller despite all 4 being put on at the same time




Raising a vehicle from all 4 corners on lift arms at once is entirely different from using a jack on one corner

You place a jack under the k-member/rear differential housing/subframes; not the pinch welds, they can fold over like paper


I've seen instances where people did that & then their door wouldn't open or close anymore, the cabin is the frame on a unibody car

It is exactly the same. The other 4 tyres are spreading the load when you raise one off the ground. Literally been doing it for close to a decade on various cars using these pads and have yet to have a pinch weld fold or even start to show signs of rust. The proper jack points are reinforced, if the door doesn't close after, you went full retard and jacked it from the wrong place.

It's so busy out during the day i don't even bother anymore. Even our trails are packed and i see pitbulls on them. I just don't get how everywhere is so busy now all the time. It used to just be Wal Mart that got truly busy for the most part and you could avoid it or work around the busy hours places had. It's bumper to bumper everywhere now. Long lines and waits too.

last time a shop took my tires off, they cross threaded one of the bolts and I ended up having to snap the stud in order to get it off, which was a bitch to replace because it was on the hub where the emergency brake is.

cool story, but long cool story short is that a free tire rotation at a place where they hire 16 year olds and mexicans to do the work might end up costing you more time or money.

I only rotate when I buy two new tires. Rotating just means you will eventually buy 4 tires at once. Now if your alignment sucks then the tires could wear faster because they do not make proper contact with the road otherwise your 2 drive tires will generally wear faster and need replacement but the other 2 will last much longer. Probably nets out evenly in the end but that is how I do it.

That's essentially the point. On a FWD car the fronts will wear way faster than the rears. If you swap them when the fronts are already very worn down you'll get oversteer in a FWD car if you really slam it into the corners srs, can be a bit unnerving because you have less control Vs RWD.

There used to be nobody out during the day srs. It was quiet as a mouse. It is so busy and chaotic out now you can't do anything. I just had to hurry back home because it was too much. There's a lot of stuff i'd like to do but it's just not possible now with all of the congestion. It's not just cars either. I mean there's hundreds of construction vehicles, large trucks with trailers hauling chit, people on bikes, pitbulls, homeless folks and all kinds of stuff everywhere now.
