How is it just non stop consooming now though? Inflation is sky high, unless people are very wealthy they shouldn't be able to be out all day spending like this. Rich people in the 90s and 2000s didn't even consoom 1/10th of what is going on now and stuff was all cheap back then.
People used to have to work their asses off and would go out several times per month to do whatever but it was not 24/7 like this and being out all day during peak work hours. It makes no sense to me.PC specs

There's always a boom before a bust & that bust is coming, trust
About 1 in 3 people are about to lose their home along with their cars; it started in Oct 2023
The last 3 years has been the worst economy since 1929 but no one is really talking about it; purchasing power has never been lower
I spent over $15,000 more in 2023 than 2020 while buying less goods; no that's not a typo*Tolerance is the lube that slides the dildo of dysfunction into the ass of civilized society*

I don't think a lot of this is credit. I think a large portion of the population either owns their own businesses online now or are getting paid being social media influencers, models and stuff like that. What I don't understand is how it seems to be most people nowadays.
I truly think almost everyone is bringing in upper middle class type money at least to be able to be out spending like this. Yet the average job only pays $25 an hour.PC specs

It is credit, and it isn't business ownership or social media money. The % of people owning their own company and making a profit to live off of in excess hasn't moved since pre covid, in fact it dropped as many small businesses got wiped out in 2020/2021 and we are still dealing with that fall out. That may create a funneling effect where instead of six options, now its walmart, therefor more traffic in walmart. Almost no one is making money on social media/internet. Sure people brag about, but its a loud minority.
The money/time comes from 3 things I think. People cashed out on their 30%+ increase in home value and are sitting on a mountain of cash. Especially boomers who probably had no saving for retirement, then get handed a golden ticket with a HELOC during 2021/2022, they cash out and now are of retirement age and have the cash to live that life. People are using credit more and more every year. Credit balances are at an all time high, similar to 2007. Granted, more people use credit as a cash substitute and pay it off 100% on time, so that data is skewed. Defaults are a better metric, and those are competing with 2007 levels too. Third is the new hybrid job landscape. So many keyboard jobs became half in office half at home. These are the young people grocery shoppin at 11am. If the phones turned on, they are working in some situations.
Take notice of the age of people who are consoooooming during business hours, that can tell you a lot.
Also, remeber if you are there, why shouldnt they be there? Its like a guy yelling at the traffic when he is another car in the line.**Florida Crew**

People are traveling like crazy after being locked down, too.
Airports are crazy busy and planes are totally full.
Who can afford this? Myself included but my eBsy selling paid a lot of it.
I wonder if these people out during the day drive Uber or Lyft at night and/or eBay during the day.
A Lyft driver in Florida told me she makes more money driving than she does working as a front desk clerk at $16 an hour.Make It a Great Day! Just call me Dusty. It's a Clown 🤡 World out there.

Well that's another thing that doesn't make sense how are people affording to spend all this money on door dash? There wasn't a market for this even 10 years ago. All the restaurants and dine ins are also packed full all day now. It just goes back to the consooming being 10x more than before. Unless people are rich I don't see how this is all possible.

its impossible to get a appt at a primary care doctor (5 month wait)
tire rotating 3 hr wait
dmv forget about it. have to book weeks in advance
there is literal 3 year waiting lists to buy 20k rolex watches. people in asia line up at 3am to get a chance to buy one for the day
starbucks lines are insane despite it supposedly having less revenue/struggling
i can barely find parking spots at the grocery store, sometime I just turn around and go home
every barber is like ths massive wait to get get your haircut

It takes so long to get your tires rotated because where people used to just trade in cars when they needed any type of maintenance now they get it fixed since used and new car prices are insane
