They were working on pot holes. The bridge collapses and free falls they're gonna land on the concrete as it hits the water which is basically like falling a 100 feet onto concrete. That probably killed or severely injured them and at which case they just drowned in the water.

Now the bridge was notified of the barge out of control which is why they stopped traffic but the question is did they contact the road crews or were they able to. Maybe there wasn't enough time.

I remember that one too. 695 is a rough beltway. Speed limit is 55 but if you go 75 you're getting rear ended. Plus it runs through trailer park areas and legit ghettos, so a lot of the cars don't give a fuk if they hit you for fender benders. I think 6 died then?
