Urine idiot. At best the ship would have swung around on the anchor and hit the bridge sideways. But really impossible because the anchor is way too small and insignificant to stop a ship that size. It's not an emergency brake. It would have just snapped off and killed anyone on the deck.

Dragging it along the bottom would take miles to stop, if it didn't catch onto something and snap off.

Are you serious? Jesus Christ dude. ANY disruption at this port is major. Removing thousands of tons of steel, concrete, and debris from 45 degree water will not happen in a day.

No, they won't build a 3rd tunnel to handle an additional 30,000 cars a day. They won't build a tunnel to handle hazardous materials. They won't build a tunnel to handle tractor trailers on one of the most major thoroughfares in the US. They won't spend 10 years re-engineering the area to become home to a tunnel. There's a reason the bridge was there in the first place.
