Essentially $80. I mean... Wtf? There is no reason for games to be over $20-$40. Except for greed, of course.

Unless you just want to play a game asap I don't see any reason to even buy full price games anymore
Single player stuff will just drop in price over time, and the gameplay experience doesn't change, if anything it's just better after patches and updates. There isn't really any fomo (for me personally) with single player games.
MP games are a little different since you kinda wanna be in the mix while the game is at its peak, but in general most mp games don't cost 70 bucks, and if they do it usually has a single player aspect also.
I think it's a little scuffed that most full price games used to be complete experiences with single and multiplayer. Now you generally get one or the other, very few games are including both.i remember having a blast in random ass afterthought multiplayer modes from games like uncharted, bionic commando, etc. Like those games had no focus on mp, but still included it and it was fun.Sometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

While it does suck, video games are one of the lowest cost things when adjusting for inflation. A $45 game in the 90's would be an $87 game now.
The good thing is if your don't buy brand new, games almost always go on sale, and AA/indie games are always cheaper.***The Misadventires of Gandalf the Black***

Eh. I'm not mad at it at all. As a kid I was buying games for $60. Most (or all) were shorter and had less content than the giant games we have now. Today I pay just $10 more after so many years I'd say it's kept it's price more than almost everything else in that time.
Also, there are so many games now that you can just play something older while waiting for a sale on the new game. On PSN for me there are sales like every month on different titles▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Bootlickers will tell you games are relatively cheap and prices haven't been raised in a decade so we should be happy to pay $70.
While they completely ignore the fact that video games are the biggest media industry on the planet and companies make record profit year after year. They resell you the same game every year and all you're doing is purchasing a license to play, not the game itself.Disclaimer: All posts made by [LtGoose] are works of satire. I'd argue you gotta look at everything else in entertainment to make a comparison. How much do you pay to go see a 1.5 hr imax movie? Or buying a 4k Blu-ray? What about a concert?
I much rather play a great game personally and I spend 70 to get hours upon hours of content. As well as being able to replay them. Not to mention the sales that happen within months of release. Older games go down so much in price. There's so many things you can complain about when it comes to modern day living, imo the cost of games isn't one of them.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Stop crying
Image isn't loading but games were $100+ back in the 80s and 90s for chit tier quality games by todays' standards... inflation adjusted.
The truth is games have been getting much MUCH cheaper despite exponential increases in development costs."It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience."

$70 is alot, but consider how much we were paying for N64 games in the past lol. Some of the games were like $100+

Back then we just bought a few games per year and rented the rest though. $75 per game will add up fast. I game on PC so i get games cheap (also don't have to pay for multiplayer), i have no idea how people are pre ordering and spending $75 on all these new games coming out.

Problem with the sales is they don't get cheap until many months after the game was released. It's not the same as renting one the first week back in the day. Many, many games nowadays (like WWE 2k games) i only want to play for about 10 hours then return. I cannot justify paying $48-75 on them which is what they normally run.
