I consider that QTE-esque gameplay when the focus is on quickly pressing specific buttons in combat scenarios where it's failure if you don't do it. There's a difference between natural feeling combat and doing what feels like pressing specific buttons on a controller when needed.

Looking at the gameplay videos I was thinking the game looked outdated. Low and behold.

BUT, I've played mid 70s games that turned out good IMO. Mad Max was a 69, but for me it was a solid 8. Alien Isolation was a 79, but a 9.5 in my eyes.


I'm still gonna watch this game closely and possibly give it a try.

Alien Isolation is definitely underrated by reviewers. There is a reason why it became a cult classic.
