I'm really picky with cheesecake. Its great if the "cheese" portion is a thin layer and the crust is thick, because it dilutes the richness.

regardless, i'm not really a fan of sweets/desserts. I'd rather have another serving of the main course than eat dessert at all.

I think I may understand where you're coming from. Maybe it's like the difference between Italian Italian VS Italian American food. Italian Italian is fresh ingredients skillfully cooked. Italian American is calorie dense stuff like pizza, pasta, lasagna and the flavor comes from the calorie density.

If that's where you're coming from, I would still have to disagree. Firstly, I myself prefer fresh ingredients skillfully cooked type food, but that comes down to taste. Taste is subjective so you can't say that other people are wrong for liking calorie dense food. Secondly, different foods have different appeals; some foods are meant to be calorie dense. Since you advocate for Asian food, I would imagine you like short ribs and pork belly for example, calorie density and being "heavy" is exactly the appeal of them.

Anyway, I'd say I have a very good sense of taste, I can usually identify all the spices used whenever I eat a new dish. I'm also a good cook, a big part of being a good cook is being a good taster because you need to know what good food is to make good food. I still like cheesecake.

Italian food in America isn't real itlaian food. Same as Chinese food. They don't that eat filth like we do. (Super Ded fkn Srs)
