    Post Workout For New Lifter

So my son lifts 3 days a week for football.
However, he is new to lifting and as a post workout supplement I have him taking whey protein powder.
Alot of the time I feel like he isn't getting enough carbs after a workout. Is there a post workout supplement that has a carb/protein combo?
Also, I was thinking of adding creatine and glutamine to his whey protein drink, or is it not necessary?
    Any help is appreciated.

Your son doesn't need any post workout supplement. Food is what he needs. Your best bet is to teach him about diet and meeting his macros and caloric needs. He doesn't need magic supplements after a workout. If you do have concerns about glycogen replenishment, sure make sure he's eating a solid mix of carbs, protein and fats throughout the day.

Eat an extra pasta meal in the daily diet
As far as additional supplementation, I would recommend a BCAA supplement to mix into the whey protein.

Instead of 3 large meals, aim for 5-6 smaller meals spread throughout the day. This helps provide a constant supply of nutrients to your muscles, supporting growth and recovery.
