Help me decide between two Functional Trainers

I am on the market to buy a functional trainer for my home gym and have narrowed it down to two -

    REP Fitness FT-5000 v2 (36L 58W 85.5H)

    Body-Solid GFT 100 (45L 64W 83H)

They both have Lifetime Warranties, free shipping, are over 200 lbs on each selector side, 2:1 pulley ratio, similar size and similar black powder coat finish.

Difference is the Body-Solid one is $400 cheaper, at $2,095, as compared to the REP Fitness, at $2500.

I looked at Titan, Fray and BoS, but excluded them for other reasons so it's a battle of these two.

I am leaning towards the Body-Solid GFT100, due to the cheaper price, but there aren't many reviews for it. Whereas the REP Fitness FT-5000 v2 has a good amount of favorable reviews.

What would you choose and why? Thanks!

Honestly in this price range, or anything below high end commercial, most of us have found Inspire FT-1 or FT-X (Costco) to be a cheaper or similar priced and better option. Inspire may have changed names recently.

If you want something substantially better it moves to Prime's Functional Trainer or Cybex Bravo which are both probably best in class units for FTs. Reality is that Inspire introduced a category killer and brought the pricing down for cheap to build their brand name. FT-X Costco deal a couple years ago was probably the best deal I have ever seen in new/retail fitness.

At one point I considered the Prime unit (they are close to me so I could pick up) but honestly most of my training is Barbell and Dumbell so made poor financial sense. My wife pushed me over the edge as that Inspire deal came out and I'm thrilled with it, as is she, and I'm glad I didn't spend more as it sees only intermittent use in my programming. Not a fault of the unit but merely how FT/cables are prioritized by me.

I know this doesn't answer your A vs B question but take a look. Plenty of owners and reviews here as well.

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.
