There comes a point where the Fire Department and Police Department are stretched so thin because the municipal governments protect criminals over citizens, making good people in both organizations quit in disgust in droves - and then when they speak up even in public, to emphasize their positions, they are threatened as if we are living in Russia.

This cannot be compared to any plain old employment. These guys are first line defenders who put their lives on the line every day and Leticia should listen to them to at least make an effort to make the city more livable, because it is not livable and I fully support the FDNY for being openly honest.
