my woman is a teacher so i talk to many teachers. at many of the schools they have "educational" programs to tell kids about gays, not bully them, accept them, it's not wrong, etc.
i said from a Christian perspective this is wrong to support. what i usually hear back from fellow Christians is that God teaches us to love ALL people. of that i agree, but the lgbtq thing is people marking their identity by sin.
it would be like a group called "liars united" wanted to be supported in their unashamed identity of being a liar. should a Christian feel like supporting this is a good thing? of course you can still love the liar but support their "pride" in being a liar?

I think the mandate is tolerance but not acceptance. We aren't supposed to be mean or abusive to anyone about anything.

Acting on homosexual feelings is a sin. It’s no different than acting on heterosexual feelings towards multiple women. Also a sin. Everyone is a sinner, and all sin is equal in the eyes of God, that includes followers of Christ. As Christians we are not called to judge the sins of non-believers but to love them as our neighbor, which would mean that we want them to stop engaging in sin so they can go to Heaven with us.
Secularists will make the argument that it’s not fair to be born gay and ask why God would do that, fully realizing that if they are right and God doesn’t exist, it still wouldn’t be fair to be born gay because you are unlikely to complete the biological drive of passing on your genes to offspring. The difference should obvious, one option offers salvation from sin, the other just means getting dealt a ****ty hand until you die and living a meaningless existence.*Updated* If you can't hit a 320 yard drive, are you even a man?

my response to the teachers was that the topic should be left to parents to teach their kids at home if they feel the need to. but do teach kids not to bully others that are different.

The basics of the gospel require you to generically talk about the separation from God and your sin. The Bible, after reading it NUMEROUS times through, I've never found a verse that requires Christians to address sin in NON believers life. The Bible tells you to focus on YOUR sin and stop focusing on others sins.
Whose job is it to convict - the Holy Spirt. When does the Holy Spirt show up, after you believe in Christ....and then you are convicted and held accountable by the church.
Christians need to mellow out and follow what the scriptures tell them to do which GO SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS.
