Anyone else watching this PPV? Although AEW has lot a bit of excitememt ever since MJF left and this card is not as good as last year's Revolution PPV...but I will still look forward to it for Will Ospreay match and if Swerve Strickland will become the world champion.
The card:

International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Roderick Strong
All-Star Scramble Match for future AEW title shot: Chris Jericho vs. Wardlow vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Lance Archer vs. Hook vs. Brian Cage vs. Dante Martin vs. Magnus

Sting has been wrestling for my whole life which is kind of crazy but it’s still also kind of sad an era is coming to an end.
I hope it goes well. I’d be more confident if he was facing FTR but we’ll see.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

In for Sting match alone. I have varied interest in the other matches.
- Julia Hart and Skye Blue vs. Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale (Pre-show) - Meh. Julia Hart is hot and I like her gimmick but other than that not very interesting
- International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Roderick Strong - Should be a good match. I expect Strong to win to boost Undisputed Kingdom.
- All-Star Scramble Match for future AEW title shot: Chris Jericho vs. Wardlow vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Lance Archer vs. Hook vs. Brian Cage vs. Dante Martin vs. Magnus - Not sure what direction they're going with this. If it's short term boost to Joe's reign, I expect Jericho or Archer or Hook or Cage to win. Don't know who Martin or Magnus are. Wardlow would be the long term booking option. I don't see Hobbs winning but he won't look bad in the loss. I agree with that Miscer that posted a thread a couple months ago, that they are going to build Joe up as an unstoppable champ and then Osprey will dethrone him in Wembley later this year.
- FTR vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli) - Hoping BCC wins, should be a great match.
- Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshta - weird match having 2 stable mates go against each other unless they are going to kick one of them out.
- TNT Championship: Christian Cage (c) vs. Daniel Garcia - Christian is the best heel in AEW. Not sure where his reign ends, and I don't know much about Daniel Garcia but he seems decent.
- Continental Crown Championship: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Bryan Danielson - I feel like Danielson should win this, but not sure how wise it would be to put a title on him given how much he gets hurt. Then again AEW has so many titles and this one seems meaningless so why not?
- AEW Women's World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo - Hoping Toni Storm retains. I'm enjoying the "Timeless" gimmick, and I'm not a big fan of someone debuting and getting a title right away. Toni should win by cheating, tell Deonna to get to the back of the line, give Deonna a feud for a couple months, and have her fight her way back to #1 contender so she can win the title later in the year.
- AEW World Championship Three-Way Match: Samoa Joe (c) vs. "Hangman" Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland - Joe should win and look dominant doing so. I wish this would have been a 1v1 match but whatever.
- AEW World Tag Team Championship Tornado Tag Team Match: Sting & Darby Allin (c) vs. The Young Bucks - Obviously this is the highlight of the card. I want Sting and Darby to win as I didn't like Young Cucks even before their heel turn. But given it's his last match he will likely take the pin, and this will give Young Cucks even more heat going forward. It would be the correct booking decision, I just don't like it because I far prefer Sting lol.See Krackerjacked's sig

I'll give it to AEW for Sting's entrance.
I didn't like or care about Sting's AEW run. Everything I saw looked sloppy and he was out there too long. But that was a nice final moment there. I don't see their stuff much anymore but enjoyed that video package, the walkout with his sons, the old Metallica song. Very cool.
Only other bit i saw was Eddie Kingston and Bryan D. Are you kidding me with Eddie Kingston lol? I think that's the first time i've ever seen a match of his. like is this for real? What a sloppy pigLast edited by Murph0408; 03-04-2024 at 07:09 AM.

Rip Sting I love that man and I hope I could see him in heaven one sweet day .
How was Samoa joes match in your opinion or eddie/dbry, Willy ospreay vs the Asian wrestler?
I have been so out of the loop . It’s way different then wwe matches, and mox is a tag team wrestler now?BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

Osprey/Takesheta was the match I was talking about. Great match but just finisher/signature spam at the end. Joe's match was decent, made him look really strong. Hangman went crazy and just started hammering away on the ref at one point. Joe made Hangman tap out though. Eddie/DBry was mediocre. Mox is in a stable called Blackpool Combat Club with DBry and Claudio. They do singles and tag matches.
The Sting match wasn't really good but it was exciting and emotional. Usually when I guy goes out he puts over someone, but the Young Cucks aren't exactly young up and comers who need the rub, and they are phags so fukk them. I laughed my ass off when Sting kicked out at 1 after they thought it was over. Unfortunately my stream cut out when Sting and Darby were talking in the ring after the match and I couldn't get it to come back so I missed most of that.See Krackerjacked's sig

Yeah some of the AEW's decisions are baffling even if it's a PPV.
Clearly shows AEW has no solid long term plans for Adam Page, he gets a noteworthy push every now and then, wrestles in a very good match and then completely gets forgotten for a couple of months. He just isn't the kind of wrestler who can connect with fans on a main event level, but still good at what he does. AEW's focus this year would be on Joe, Strickland, Ospreay, Takeshta, Wardlow and returning MJF?
