What a bleak movie, those final scenes were intense. I think what really got to me is how the premise is actually believable to an extent. The war, infertility, immigration, lack of resources, and deterioration of infrastructure hit home.

Wondering if we are heading for a dystopian future somewhat similar to that. There's research showing that male sperm count has substantially decreased for decades. Same with testosterone. There's no sign that it's slowing down. Check out Shanna Swan.

This is on top of existing demographic trends that also lower fertility, an explosion in childless women who cannot find someone to mate with them...

I never even remember the infertility aspect when I think of that film. It sticks out for me more as a realistic portrait what society could (will?) look like on the verge of final collaspe.
