    Weight gain

So I'm 40 and dropped to 177lbs at 6'3". I need to put on the lbs. Scale says I'm 14.7% body fat.

Scale can't calculate body fat... You need to do a real caliper test or other variation. Then, you need to define a goal and steps to achieve it.

"225, 315, 405 whatever. Yeah these benchmark digits come to mean a lot to us, the few warriors in this arena. They are, however, just numbers. I'm guilty of that sh*t too, waiting for somebody to powder my nuts cuz I did 20 reps of whatever the **** on the bench. Big f*king deal. It is all relative." G Diesel

A combination of increased calorie intake, with a focus on nutritious, high-protein foods, and a consistent strength training routine could help. It's also important to ensure you're getting enough rest and recovery, as these are crucial for muscle growth. Consulting with a nutritionist or personal trainer might provide personalized advice tailored to your specific needs and goals.

To gain weight in a healthy way, focus on increasing your calorie intake with nutrient-dense foods rather than just eating more of anything. Since you're at 14.7% body fat, it sounds like you're in a good place to start building muscle. Incorporate more lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats into your diet. These will not only help you gain weight but also ensure you're getting the vitamins and minerals your body needs. Strength training can also help you build muscle mass. Consider working with a nutritionist or personal trainer who can tailor a plan specific to your needs and goals. Remember, consistency and patience are key when it comes to seeing changes in your body.
