One of my favorite wrestlers of all time, I enjoyed his run after 2002 a lot more...cool gimmick, very good inside the ring, lots of good matches, lots of feuds, very good in stoyline selling, very good at telling a story inside a ring...was a cool dude all round...there is a reason why he is called Mr. Wrestlemania...main evented lots of PPV's....highly ranked...
I am ranking him at no.6 in all time best wrestlers list.

Ok, but no John Cena in the top 7? It's not a must but debatable. I know wrestlers like Ultimate Warrior and Bruno Sammartino were very popular, but I don't think they have enough matches or enough good matches to be considered for the top 7. But again each to their own. Everyone has a different opinion as to why someone deserves to be a highly ranked wrestler.

alot of people dont like john cena he was pushed for like 14 years on raw and the ppvs it got boring & lame fast .looking though the raws over the years when cena came on the scene it got lame. john cena is the pg era plus its like what they been doing with roman they forcibly keep pushing
him on the fans . then those fans grow up into adults and they say out of not knowing any better say hes a top 10 guy

There was a reason why he stayed on the top for a long period, because he was the best choice, at least we can say for one show (which was the main show), so obviously he main evented nearly every PPV also in that time period. Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero died, Kurt Angle left, Brock Lesnar left, Goldberg left, The Undertaker stopped appearing regularly...that left a big gap for WWE to fill. Yeah sure he was kind of stealing the spotlight from HHH and HBK (but they already had enough and didn't need any more pushing to stay important)....it was just Batista and Randy Orton getting effected...but you could switch them between either of the shows.
So who else would be the face of your company in that time period? Surely WWE could not count on someone like Edge, CM Punk and Jeff Hardy to do that, so it was always going to be John Cena. He wasn't forced on fans all the time, but yeah at times it did become kind of boring. But his achievements and dedication to WWE kind of puts him in top 5 best wrestlers of all time for me.
Roman Reigns felt like forced when was a babyface, but as a heel he hardly appeared on television and skipped a lot of PPV's..so he's not like that.

Are you aware Bruno has sold out MSG more times than anyone else? A search shows he sold out MSG 188 times over 8 years. Not to mention holds the record for longest title reign. Opinions aside, no one holds a candle Bruno. Do an internet search on Bruno and let me know if you still feel the same way.

Great worker - perhaps the very best overall, above average promo (if not well above average), good look.
What works against Shawn: He was a terrible draw, did not fully connect with the fans prior to his retirement (as a face), his drug issues, his toxic ego and unwillingness to work with people or cooperate with them in programs, and post-retirement return he got saddled with that garbage DX comedy nonsense and was positioned as a second-banana to HHH.
His best work was probably post retirement, free of drug issues, willing to work with many guys and have good programs (even do occasional jobs) but physically he looked better pumped and juiced up before coming back.
Top 20 off his work alone? Maybe. Probably. Hard to rate him above others who weren't fuked 1/2 their career by pain pills, ego maniacs who held back an entire generation of talent or who actually connected with fans and drew big.All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Just behind Bret Hart for me. And I considered penalizing him because every annoying wrestler today that just wants to do athletic high spots that look faker than Megan Fox’s new face was influenced by him while every awesome wrestler today was more influenced by Bret Hart.
But the stupidity of modern wrestlers isn’t his fault. Still I will argue to the end of time that Bret Hart is better than him.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

bret was a drag as a top babyface too though. both of them were way better with attitude as heels in the 90s.
Shawn's whole second act was better than a lot of stuff Bret did. And at that point, you could argue he nailed it as a babyface people could get behind. His stuff with Angle, Jericho, Taker. Bret didn't have too many feuds like that at such a high level. I have HBK ahead of Bret by a decent margin

right and i agree with him. but the flair legacy is hard to deny, so if somebody has him over HBK i don't blame them. flair's more of a recognizable character in pop culture for example. same with undertaker.
it's hard to rank all these guys. are we talking in-ring skills, are we talking money made. "draw" or attention to their primes. longevity. etc.
