I think iron sights are essential for a FPS, I also liked games with vehicles, especially air/land/sea vehicles.

Nice to have, I always put on an optic as soon as I unlock it though. I feel like Battlefield 3 got the formula closest to my preferences regarding balance between infantry and vehicle gameplay. Infantry was the focus but there were vehicles there that could be game-changing if used properly. I also only really like ground vehicles, IE tanks, LAV, HMMWV, AMTRAC. Transport helis with miniguns were fun too. Never liked the maps/modes with jets, attack helis, or destroyers or anything like that.
I can see the appeal of the other vehicles and how others would prefer jet gameplay for example but that's why games should go back to having server browsers to players can play what they want.See Krackerjacked's sig

Funny thing is no one uses irons anymore. Most people aren't even putting BUIS on their rifles anymore.
