Did you play bloodborne dlc?
I'd say overall Elden Ring is a little easier for a couple reasons. The general enemies aren't that horrible to deal with... Until you get to the last 3rd of the game where there's a massive difficulty spike outta fuking nowhere.
The low tier/generic bosses aren't hard.
The main bosses are okayish in difficulty until you get to the last few which can be fuking rough.
Best part that makes the game easier tho is since it's open world, if an area is giving you trouble you can fuk off to another place and level up, do upgrades then return later. There's no specific order to do things until you reach the latter areas of the game. Also, game is much more forgiving by providing spawn points close to the bosses so you don't need to run a long distance every time you die.Last edited by Coal Man; 02-23-2024 at 07:03 AM.

Stakes of Marika are life. I don't get that mad when I die from a boss. I faced the first boss Margit For like 4 hours until I realised I was just badly underleved. When I came back I did it in like half a dozen tries.
The actual part that made me rage the most in souls games is having to run through the level again to reach the boss. Most recently in Demon's Souls remake at the higher levels. Ho Lee fuk was that rage inducing when you're pumped and just want to get back in the action.
But as you said there's a few bosses you still need to run to. Maliketh was legit my hardest fight of the whole game tbh, followed by Radagon and Godskin Duo.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

First character I finally admitted defeat and went to level up before going back for Margit (I'm stubborn and refused to use ashes for 95% of bosses first go 'round). On my next character, I started with the Samurai, and was determined to get him early. I started of by killing the Tree Sentinel before unlocking level up this time around, and finally whooped Margits ass in a few tries. It was soooooo fukkin cathartic. I'd made them both my bitches.
Also, Margit is my favorite first boss in a FromSoftware game ever!
As for hardest, Malenia is the only boss I have yet to beat solo. I plan on doing it with my Guts based character (yes weeb) before the DLC comes out just to prove to myself that I can. I feel I have to, becsause there's no way they don't absolutely have some bullchit super duper boss that manages to be even harder than her.***The Misadventires of Gandalf the Black***

Those bosses in the OG Demon's Souls weren't nearly as hard but I'd be sweatin bullets when I'd get low on health because the run back to the boss would be like 5 mins + on some of them
On release General Rahdahn was fukn wrecking ball. I fought him at level 60 and was getting one shot. Came back at level 80 and was still getting crushed. People say they just changed his hitboxes, which I just don't believe. His damage was nerfed to hell. Those meteor rocks in the 2nd phase used to be guaranteed one shots if they landed. On my first playthrough none of the late game bosses gave me too much trouble because by that point I had found my beloved, the blasphemous blade and weapon art spam carried me hard6'2"

LOL. The DLC is the best area of every single Fromsoft souls game. The only exceptions being maybe Anor Londo over the DLC in Dark souls 1 or Irythil over Areindel in DS3
The bosses are guaranteed bangers.
DS1 - Artorias and Manus (Sanctuary Guardian still pretty good)
DS2 - Fume Knight, Sir Allone, Slumbering Drake, The Ivory King
DS3 - Sister Friede, Midir, Gael
BB - Lady Maria, Ludwig, Lawrence6'2"

I never used a summon the entire game.
Margit was such a sick fight. Esp for someone just starting the game and suddenly I'm up against the first boss and he has all these crazy moves. I'm used to the souls formula so I expected that when I arrived there I should have been at the correct level and that's why I spent hours getting stomped. When I came back after a few levels it was much better.
I really enjoyed the Malenia fight but she absolutely wasn't as hard as I was hyped up to think. To me her attacks were quite readable and the fight was rather fair, apart from Water Fowl which I think is where most people got fukked. Not me though, I've always been really good at dodges so when that was over I had much less issue dealing with her regular attacks.
Maliketh and Godskin Duo tho..... FUK ME. So much aggression.
Radahn was easily my favorite fight and spectacle in the entire game. What an epic boss. Loved the arena, loved his design and imo he has the coolest moves. Then I later read his lore and was like fuarrkk, Radahn was the real hero all along.
Definitely give it a try. It's much more user friendly than every other souls game, but I really wish it had more of a focus on the plot. That's my biggest complaint.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
