PS5 will probably go down as the worst playstation for core fans, but it doesn't really matter. Consolecels will buy it, and it does the job of playing third party games in the living room.

I don't buy the doom and gloom though, it's still selling amazingly well. Sony's projections were just dumb. Console gaming isn't growing, more people bought their consoles earlier.

Idk look up benchmarks but off the top of my head generally thr minimum I recommend to anyone is a 4070 series or above.

4060 would be OK if you just play ez to run multiplayer games like counter strike, overwatch, league and stuff like that

Idk you need a screen to dictate how much power you will want for that screen really

I mean Xbox is working on their next gen already too with a 2026 release in mind. I'm assuming PS is just matching that so that Xbox isn't the only next gen console on the market for a year.

This will be a shorter gen though at only 6 years. XB1/PS4 lasted 7. PS3/X360 lasted 7/8 (IIRC PS3 actually did come out a year later than 360).

Rx 6700 or 6800 series. They are like $300-400 right now and have good vram.

depends on your screen resolution. if you could find a good deal on a used 3080 (or 3080ti) that would get you 100+ fps at 1080p maxed out on HZD easily. heck a 3080 at 4k could probably still do 60fps+ on HZD on ultra settings.

Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will not come to ps4 though, so will be interesting to see how many consoles are sold just for that one game, especially since GTA 6 will probably be the biggest video game launch ever.

Next gen will be in 2028. GTA 6 is out next year in 2025, so you'll only be able to play it on current gen and PC for at least 3 years.
