I wonder about this too. There's a lot of men out there with truly ugly looking women and when I put myself in their shoes, even if I had no other options, I don't think I'd be able to settle for someone that unattractive. It makes me wonder if our genetics design us to be attracted to people on our level, if that's at all possible.

Nothing even special about her, but I just had to meet her. Ended up dating her for four years.
