    Calorie deficit whilst weight training

    Hi All,

I stopped training for a while now have restarted. I wanted to know what would happen if I get sufficient daily protein intake however be on a calorie deficit, lets say 2000 or less calories daily?

Old mate above might have answered it. But it depends. are you 70kg? are you 110kg? whats your BF%
Alan Aragon, Brad Schoenfeld, Stu Phillips, Lyle McDonald. FTW.

Not a physique competitor but hope to compete in powerlifting next year. Max bench 1RM with pause 160kg. 352lbs.

    Lift and learn.

You'll probably stop training again after a month and then post this question again next year.

Getting back into training while eating sufficient protein but fewer than 2000 calories a day means you'll likely lose weight. Protein protects muscles during calorie cuts. Stay balanced and consult a pro for tailored advice.
