Yet another question. Wondering what Misc’s preferences are for chairs when gaming on their computers .
I normally use your typical office chair , but have seen some nice chairs that I believe are called gaming chairs , with gamers in mind I’m assuming

This, get a quality office chair designed for ergonomic support and comfort and not ****gy gaming streamer aesthetics
I bought a $400 gaming chair thinking I would be a pro gamer but it was uncomfortable as fk
Splurged on a steelcase gesture and it's comfy as fk. I like the adjustability the most. You can make the back support super rigid if you like, which I prefer for gaming. Then adjust the support to have a lot of give so you can lean back in the chair and still be upright, which i prefer for work or watching chit

I use some serta chair I got a while back, cheapo but honestly love it, have never had problems.
Whenever I stay at a hampton I always sit in the herman miller aerons they have there to see if my opinion of them has changed, but I hate that chair. Terribly uncomfortable. I could see an officecel maybe using it if they're forced to sit behind a desk for 8 hours, but for relaxing lounging/gaming for a couple of hours, it sucks dick unless you like sitting like a stiff.
Tried a secretlab, rock hard and terrible armrests.
Would like to try an embody but don't spend enough time in the chair to justify spending over a grand on it.Lifts:

I just got an executive chair with lots of padding. I think it's a Serta. It's really nice and comfortable but still new so hard to judge yet. I just replaced another executive chair that was getting kind of flat in the padding, it was just like a standard $100 one from Office Depot though.

Herman Miller gang.... Highly recommend the atlas headrest... They match color and material perfectly to whatever model you have. Nice for those times you want to sit back. I got one a while back and it was worth every penny

Would that work for the Embody itself though? Looks like that attaches in a special way to the gaming version. I have the actual Embody from HM. I could see myself using a headrest sometimes.
EDIT: my bad, https://atlasheadrest.com/products/h...-medley-fabric there's one for the classic Embody too. Hnnnngh, reps dude.Last edited by LogicalLifts; 02-09-2024 at 01:00 PM.

They make it for every color and model I'm pretty sure, including the non gaming ones.
It's great for when I just want to sit back. The embody is perfect for ergonomics but not for chillin. Now I can put my feet up and have the headrest support when I am lounging back.
It's not really needed for sitting straight up with correct posture but if you're like me and lounge back alot it's great.
It just basically clamps to the chair, no damage or alterations needed. Matches absolutely perfectly.
I pre ordered mine and waited like 8 months for it before they launched emSometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

Worth a shot, they may have one coming out. They were already producing other ones when I had pre ordered mine. Seemed like they were growing and coming out with more options but I haven't checked back since I got mine back in August 2023
Idk for me the difference is night and day, I couldn't go back to no head rest and this one is the only one on market that just looks and feels straight up factory. It turned a great chair into the perfect chair for me. Pricey but so is the chairSometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

AWARE.
I got an elusive highback V1 off FB market locally for $225. Originally was over $1000. Thing is an absolute tank and despite being in perfect condition (but in that beige cubicle wall fabric) I sent my back and bottom cushions to Crandall office furniture and they did a custom "off menu" upholstery job and sent a new piston for about $300

Steelcase makes insanely good chairs. I bought my Leap v2 back in like 2017, replaced the cylinder when I did even though it didn't need it.
I work from home so that's basically 7 years of constant every day use, zero issues, thing still looks in great shape too. Fantastic chair and super comfortable. Only thing I may upgrade to is a Steelcase Gesture eventually, but only after this thing finally dies if it ever does.hiya
