So basically when I do these body online recomposition calculators because I'm trying to lose belly fat but still gain muscle it just seems like it's just giving me way too many calories like I don't need 3,400 calories. Any ideas on this? How can I calculate what I need to gain muscle and lose fat exactly or approximately?

If you're new to training, you can get away with that for 6-8 months or so; you'll plateau, then you'll have to go after 1 goal.
If you've been training for any length of time, you can't effectively do both at the same time.

I agree with not being able to chase both. However, the best approach to this would be to just make sure that you are in a calorie deficit to lose fat and make sure that you have plenty of protein to at least maintain muscle, if not gain more, during your fat loss. At the end of the day, each body is different and you have to keep on adjusting your habits/routine based on your you feel and how your body reacts. Hope you find this helpful!
