    Test showed too much protien?

I got a blood test done at a wellness clinic by a doctor. The results showed too much protien and too much creatine. The doctor told me it is taxing my kidneys.
I am only consuming 80 grams of protein and am around 140 pounds which is way under the 1 gram of protein per pound recommendation for building muscle.
I was only taking 2.5 grams of creatine too per day.
Who can explain this? I am already well developed and have been weightlifting for over 20 years.

Those results could be partially from the muscle mass you carry.

That isn’t enough protein to do damage I wouldn’t think.

I would ditch the creatine, as I’ve seen more people than not with issues from taking it.

Are you male or female? Asking due to your weight.

    Drink enough water.

If you have a decent amount of muscle mass that alone can increase your creatinine and it would be better to check a cystatin c.

Let me guess, your BUN was a little high, yes?
And probably fasted for this blood test?

You were probably a little dehydrated which will raise BUN, and your Dr knows nothing about supplements and put some fear into you. I'd stay right on course.

    (I am not a Dr medical disclaimer....lol)
