Abysmal findings on my end. A few relatively small discounts in electronics.
Seems these days black friday is just an excuse to put all the junk on sale.
If anything its annoying, all the quality stuff is hidden behind discount signs for junk

Black Friday doesn't even make sense. Stores would be better off doing promotions when there isn't so much noise from their competition if they want to attract customers.

Needed a Chromebook for my kids and got a good one from Lenovo for $139. It was about half price and I'm a big fan of the brand for computers.
Also got them a bunch of clothes for Christmas from Children's Place for 60% off.

I got a 686 hoodie and some Burton MFI stuff, overall I think I saved like 30% or 35%, so not bad. I was looking at them for a while anyway and I'll use them this season, so win for me.
99% of them are a joke the last several years. Black fridays/mondays aren't anything like they used to be. Back in the day a website would have timed sales you had to wake up early for, and it would be like brand name stuff 40, 50, up to 75% off sometimes for limited quantities.
I've been flooded with emails and flyers saying "Our Black Friday sale starts a month early! Get 10% off select items until November 30th!" Oh wooooooow really? These days I don't get out of bed for 10% off.
I mean, I'm still finding stuff. Volcom has a $750 Goretex snowboarding jacket for $410. I don't need one, but they've got killer deals on good stuff. Burton's got some stuff way marked down too.
Mostly these days it's just an excuse to clear out old stock they otherwise can't sell at a regular sale price. Most companies don't give you good discounts on the current models anymore.

Bought 7 rolls of sheep and goat fencing @ $359.99 each at tractor supply. Ended up being like $2650 after tax. Normally $400 each but they raised the price to $420 and applied a 15% discount, so really it was 10% off its normal price. Still a good deal since field fencing never goes on sale.

Come to think of it, that prime day thing a month ago had better deals than today i think. Moreso on relevant items at least.
