16 or 17.
Was in the navy a few months after i turned 18."To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

would get mad when i was out until 5-6am
complained how i would invite girls over for ONS (sometimes they loud LOL)
whine about my drinking with friends in my room or in the backyard around the fire listening to music
pretty much expected me to be the same teenage high school guy that would stay in eating doritos and playing counter strike
i was even paying them rent too (500/mth = to help with the bills/groceries). once i got my apartment it was the best tho. still cant blast music and be too crazy but its still way better then living with parents

I was done with living with parents by about 12 as my father was a dedicated alcoholic had to live with all other negative family ramifications.
I couldn't wait to get my azz out so I joined the military just prior to 18 and I was gone goose.
I joined with my best friend and we didn't even tell our parents until after the fact.
We were lucky enough to see each other briefly when deployed during Operation Colorado.
They found it hard to believe we kept it to ourselves.
A good weekend to all.

Just an old guy trying to keep up his rhythm chops.
