I mean I get it is rigged and shiit and everyone is pissed. But what are you supposed to do? Lay down and rot?
I just don't get how most of them are going to support themselves.

Meh, how old is she? 18? She should go ask her grand mother what she was doing at 18. I GUARANTEE YOU, her grand mother already pushed out at least 2 kids by the time she was 18 and was cooking and providing ass day in day out as a stay at home mom.
The problem with these gen-Z'ers today is that they see themselves as "kids" or "young people." No you're a grown ass woman. Either go do it on your own or bend over as a woman should and start bearing children.

I've done a bit of a compromise and work 32 hour weeks instead of 40. Enjoying my life so much more now with the extra free time. Still have enough disposable income to do what I want and now I have the time to do it. No point in slaving full time when everything is unaffordable anyway.

Lmao @ listening to a female speak let alone about the workforce she shouldn't even be a part of
Let me guess; blah blah we aren't paid enough to live
Gen-Z's idea of living is $300/month for porn subscriptions & $1000/month to have food delivered to their doors like the little consoomers they truly are; don't forget that $1600 cellphone every year
These retards actually believe that with no work experience, a useless degree @ 23 years old that they are worth 6 figures LOL
They're so autistic they can't even count change back to you before they drop it on the ground
My grandfather was literally kicked out @ 16 years old without a pair of shoes & retired with over a million in today's money
You'll never have what it takes to make it because you're a whiny pussy srsLast edited by blissful88; 11-14-2023 at 06:42 PM.

I read an article by the owner of a large hotel chain comparing current graduates to those from just ten years ago.
Ten years ago, almost every graduate entering the industry had previous employment history from part time work during college and high school.
Now, almost every graduate entering the industry has zero employment history; in addition to which they don't want to work evenings or weekends.Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!
The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.
They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......

Your post reads like you're someone thats a couple decades removed from your entry level job or you're just no longer employed because you're retired. She essentially says that she WANTS to work, but its not worth it when the wages she makes are not enough to live off of and she can't even put anything away in savings so she's essentially living to work for that job. I have no idea what I would do if I were an 18-23 year old in 2023 just starting my career, but I do know it would suck pretty damn bad.
The difference in the hardship your grandfather faced is that once he was kicked out of the house all he had to do is walk into the factory a couple blocks down the street, give the manager a firm handshake and he'd have a job making $1.50/hr which at the time was enough to live off of since a gallon of milk was only $25 cents and a loaf of bread was .10cents. The equivalent in 2023 is fighting tooth and nail for a minimum wage job for 6 month against a bunch of pajeets and mexicans, only to realize that the $12/hour is barely enough for a weeks worth of food let alone putting anything away in a nest egg

Well SHE is part of the problem. Women have a higher percentage of the workforce than men. And typically they make more pound for pound.
she is also pretty enough that she could get wifed up in a year and never have to worry about work again (which is statistically what is likely to happen...college educated white women have the lowest workforce participation rate past like 35...its cuz they married a white guy who makes more typically and is staying at home with kids & starbucks runs).

No she's wrong. There's plenty of jobs that pay perfectly fine. The problem is she thinks she deserves a high class lifestyle when she's average at best. Most people aren't living lavish lifestyles in their 20s. Social media has skewed our generation into thinking everyone should be balling with vacations and expensive cars/clothes/parties 24/7.
The real problem isn't that she can't afford anything. It's that her perception of the lifestyle she should be living vs what she thinks she should be living are completely misaligned.
Social media really has f*cked up this generation in so many ways. In b4 back in the day you could afford a house etc etc etc. First off that's not true. Back in the day people were more willing to go through the process of a starter home and working to build up to the American dream lifestyle you all look back on so fondly today. People didn't automatically have that back then either.
It's true that has also been delayed to some extent. The push for everyone to go to college means everyone is also starting their lives later. Previous generations had like a 5 year head start because they worked right after high school. That's the only real difference. So yes, you're getting that starter home half a decade after your parents or grandparents maybe did, but you also wasted 4-6 years f*cking around partying, having sex (or jerking off for most miscers), and stress free early adulthood."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I don't want to work either but I do it. It was never easy.
I'll say one thing that is very common among zoomers and younger millennials. Most of them have never had a job where they were on the payroll full time or even legit part time until they are over 20yo. I'm gen-x, born in 1978,in the 90's we all had jobs before we left HS. We already knew how to work.

The more I see in the workforce is mainly women. They are taking up most of the higher end positions. Even reading here where miscers wives or gf's are executives or head of sales or medical making 200k plus.
Most men I think are just plain out of the work force.
But for women, they do have more opportunities to make bank for sure. Don't know if she is just doing it for clout to promote onlyfans or some type of nude distribution for later. She is right though in what she thinks.

She makes a valid point that things are harder now and wage growth hasn't kept up with inflation.
But she would rather complain about it on TikTok than get an entry level job and keep her expenses at a minimum while she adds the experience to her resume that she can use to either increase her pay. The problem with todays youth is they want everything and they want it now. There are no sacrifices to their social life, because why should they work to live? How about work so you CAN live. You could generalize the work ethic of that generation as deplorable. Social media has ruined their generation, there is literally little hope for them. I'm terrified that our future world leaders will be from that generation.

Its very bimodal. I know some HBBs that get nowhere if they don't start with good jobs. These are not dumb chits either, but lawyers, etc. from elite unis with top GPAs and rock solid internships. Meanwhile, you get ditzy HRs from chit unis that can't tell their thumbs from their big toe landing 750k/year HR director position. It's very bizarre.
The smartest legal eagle I know is now a tour guide. She could recite cases including principles and judge comments by memory alone. You could give her a topic, and she can immediately list 20 cases related to it. Got a job at biglaw that made her work 100hrs for 70k for 5 years, then dropped to suburban law, 60 hours for 80k, then became a tour guide. One of the dumbest chicks I know became HR director of a mining company and makes 2 million a year. She's very friendly, bubbly and pretty, but so was the lawyer.
One thing's for sure tho, the ugly ones are getting 0 benefit.Last edited by KBurn; 11-14-2023 at 08:07 PM.

I don't blame them. Imagine being set up by your parents to fail financially and then be constantly scolded by those same people about how they had it way harder and they're just lazy.
I dislike these gen Z fuks as much as anyone else, and most of them are pathetic, but it's entirely their parents fault. The boomers and gen x failed society in so many ways that they basically metaphorically took a chit on their kids face and told them it's their fault.
Parents are still pushing their kids into college lmao. These kids will have debt up to their eyeballs with 8% interest rates HAHAHA. How evil do you have to be to fail to parenting your own kids as you work with your husband to make as much money as possible as your house just tripled in value while your kid is taught nothing in school besides how to be a lib feminist child, and then you push her into college to ruin her life forever. "OMG these gen z kids.....back in my day!"
When I become a father some day it will be my main focus to prepare my child as best as possible for success and to be a good person without destroying their financial future.

If they can't afford to rent a place themselves, then rent a room in a share house, if you can't afford to rent a room in a share house then live with your parents until you can?
I'm not saying the labor market isn't broken. But at some stage if people can't afford to do things, they need to either accept they can't do it, or work hard enough that they can.
