Yep, Jiri took a lot of very bad, unanswered damage and it wasn't going to get any better as he was not intelligently defending himself. He was hurt badly from Alex's brutal left hook, just hugging Alex's legs and showed no reaction to protect himself when Alex started slamming very hard elbows into the side of his head until he collapsed to his back.
I think a lot of people's comments are based on the absolutely horrendous commentary. Jiri did not just bounce back up quickly. He had no immediate or even delayed reaction because he was clearly not present or aware for a long time. We didn't hear this early stoppage crap in the first Izzy fight even though Izzy was still on his feet and immediately reacted with protest, obviously much more conscious than Jiri was. DC actually said that one could have been stopped earlier. They were both good stops, but the comparison shows just how stupid people claiming the Jiri fight was stopped early actually is.

Checked out fighter purses.
Steve Erceg made $12k. Imagine flying from Australia to NY, fighting on the biggest stage in the world and the salary not covering your flights ayy
Diego Lopes - people calling him a "problem" in LW and a once in a generation talent. $12k for being on the main event of UFC 295
Saint-Denis $34500
Aspinall + Pavlovich both $250k. Who knows if Hunter gave them PPV points, hopefully he did.

Because they aren't in New York, nor in Nevada where the UFC does a lot of other events.
" Majority of United States ACs keeps purses confidential including New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Texas. Some exceptions are Oregon, Washington, California, Georgia, and Arizona."
Everything you read online will be guesswork.

Not really guesswork. Some of the sites go off the contract lengths and how much fighters got paid in the past. They analyse how long the contract lasts and base their numbers on that.
If Lopes for example has a 6 fight contract and got paid 12000 on his first 3 while 295 being the 4th, it's going to be the same number.
