MK1 is a downgrade

What an absolute downgrade this game is compared to MK11. Unfortunately the MK community has been filled with too many shills lately who try to cover it up or convince you otherwise.

1. Graphics are a huge downgrade.
2. Art style looks like from a mobile-game
3. Customisation is halfassed
4. Shrine is half-assed
5. Released with broken mechanics
6. Story mode jumps of a cliff halfway
7. Charachter designs are a downgrade with the exception of Baraka and Reptile
8. Ermac and Quan Chi should have been base-roster
9. 10$ for a Scorpion MK: Deception skin lol. They left out all the good stuff behind a pay-wall and left us with trash alt. skins.
10. Intro dialogues are non existant basically. You can get them only on 1v1 Local. On Online ranked they are not shown. Also they are cut to 2 lines with a recycled Injustice clash animation.

Overall this game is obviously rushed as hell and somehow it isn't getting the deserved flack like other rushed games.

People say that the gameplay is great and way better than MK11 but I ain't buying it - the gameplay is fine but I can't say I enjoyed it more than MK11. People who say this imo just try to cover up how low/mid-effort everything else is

I just plat MK11 2 weeks ago or so. Good thing Neatherealms Studio games tend to be very cheap a year or two after release, plus they release a Complete Edition.

Will still play this in the future cuz of Homelander vs Omni-Man lol. And I played MK since the first one in the arcades.

I also like the new MK1 graphics and the game in general. I bought it on release but unfortionatly have not had much time to play. I got way too many games Armored Core 6, MK1, Lord of the Fallen ...also have starfield and forza installed on gamepass i have not even tried.

I can only play maybe an hour or two a day and i have been opting to play lord of the fallen

Like AC Mirage, I look forward to playing this in like 3 years when a "complete" edition is released and cheap.

MK1 had the unfortunate luck of being released in the same year as the SF6, which is the single best fighting game ever made. No exaggeration. We were supposed to get Injustice 3 rather than MK1, but Netherrealm had to change course due to the WB-Discovery merger causing some "force majure" contract clauses.

The models look Fortnitish in MK1 and the shading is terrible in comparison.

If I was in a coma the the last decade and showed me these two picture, would have easily said right one is last gen and left one is current gen.

Gaming really hasn't advanced well for the most part. Some stuff looks great, while a lot of stuff you would struggle to find improvements, if anything it's going backwards.

It is mostly with ''AAA'' best-sellers. Many studios have freedom to improve, the ones that don't publishers milk the shyt out of them till the franchise basically becomes a joke that nobody cares about.

Would say Capcom kind of learned their lesson and are on of the few Huge publishers that actually have focused on ''quality''. The last RE games are all quality stuff, DMC was never shyt and SF6 is goood.


Look at SEGA for example, they milked the shyt out of Sonic and nobody takes the franchise seriously anymore due to 2 decades of trash games.

i really thought they'd go for the photorealistic look for this one. i mean, that's what they did for the OG MK. yet, we get cartoon level graphics, again.
