I was looking at different company stocks and came across Coke. I looked over their history, and I noticed something.
At the start of 2019, coke was sitting at around $200 per share. In just three years, they went up to over $500 per share. Today they’re sitting at $632, but had been as high as $713 a few months prior. WTF?! I have never seen a large cap company do this before.
Not even Amazon did that. Did Coke consolidate their shares? Have they done this a few times, because their gains looking at the numbers have been crazy since 2005. If so, how does consolidating the shares benefit the company?
