Do you find autistic people annoying?

To preface, I'm not attacking the neurodivergent with a blanket generalization. I know they're capable of phenomenal achievements and are often lovely people.


But sometimes they are extremely annoying. I know two people who have confided they are on the spectrum. One is a girl/tranny I know who is obsessive, constantly talks about herself and hovers around the same topics like a moth around a porchlight. Only talks about her own narrow interests, rambles on for minutes on end and never involves the other person in a conversation, no understanding of social cues at all to when someone needs to be left alone and isn't interested in the conversation.

Second one is another graduate student. He's a 40 year old virgin and incel, morbidly obese, and has no social filter whatsoever. In conversation just blurts out whatever he feels like, constantly insults and condescends people like it's going out of fashion, even experienced professors. He's literally incapable of understanding there are positions and ideas he doesn't understand and is unfamiliar with, and attempts to feign knowledge rather than simply admit he doesn't know something. Doesn't have much money so if you get a round of beers or coffee, he just won't get you back the next time and conjure an excuse.

If you contradict or disagree with him, he gets extremely angry, starts squealing and gets abusive.


It makes me feel bad for saying this, since neurodivergent people can be highly talented and friendly and genuine, but sometimes, as my examples show, they can be annoying as all fuk.

I'm a software engineering manager so I end up working with a fair number of autistic people as part of the job. Since I know how their minds work I don't find them annoying. What I do find annoying is **** smearing tranny ****ers.

I think the ones like this refuse to apply their behavioural therapy the way they should. Aspies can modify their behaviour. There are countless well adjusted aspies like Elon Musk. Some just refuse to because of some self-pitying justification and because it's easier, not any different than an addict who refuses to get better and instead finds a circle of enablers. Or they've got an enabler parent, a mother typically, who won't show them tough love.

You can try to be their friend but if they keep behaving like this and not accepting your boundaries you should just detach and ignore them. You're not going to reason with them in this case, they can be very good at manipulation.

Friend of mine, her daughter is autistic. She's highly artistic and actually very nice but has absolutely no filter and will tell you what she's thinking and feeling, even if it is going to hurt your feelings.

Other friend has a son that is autisic also, more or less really bad ADDHD. Little a-hole. He demands and commands all of the time. Thinks everything is all about him. Rude and nasty. Spits on people if they made him mad. One day he called his mom. Just like this "I WANT SOUR PATCH KIDS IN A BIG BAG" and then just hung up the phone. Store didn't have the big bag, so she got two smaller bags which would be more than one big bag. We got to her house and he storms out 'WHERE IS MY SOUR PATCHE KIDS" and when she gives them to him he scream 'I SAID BIG BAG WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU" she explained it's more to get two smaller bags and he started telling her to go out and find a big bag. She defends him "He's autistic he can't help it things have to be just so or it drives him nuts". I don't care if it does, he needs to learn to deal with it. Kid needs his ass beat bad.

As an aspie, I agree with and endorse this. Autists are ****ing annoying to me too. The only message I'd like to add to the normies is I am 100% trying to do this and sometimes I need to told explicitly when I am overstepping or being annoying, the normie riddles can go over my head no matter how much I try.

I can form friendships but they always drift away eventually and I know that is because of how I am but I still believe most of the time it was a rewarding friendship for both of us.

Thanks for having a respectful and balanced view of us. Autism should not be an excuse to be a dinkhead.

The one mentioned in my OP does this, incessantly talks about herself and nothing else. Always the same obsessive topics too, rambles on for minutes on end and doesn't pause to include the other in the conversation. No understanding of the social cues that she's boring someone chitless and should bail on the convo.
