Definit overheating and not a screen issue.

My 14 Pro Max won't even load the splash screen for Adobe Lightroom before the screen dims and the phone is too hot to touch. Apples cooling sucks ok all their products. I melted my wife's MacBook trying to run Photoshop.

Tbh though no one should ever use a laptop for video/photo editing/animation. It’s a braindead proposition. Get a real computer, at least an iMac if you don’t want a full desktop.

All apple devices are massively overvolted so they run at maximum heat and die within 2-3 years. If you're good in device hacking, you can undervolt, and it'll perform much better and run much cooler. Also will last way longer. I undervolted my macbook pro, and it has lasted 10 years so far. Max CPU temp is 60 degrees playing games at max settings, most of the time its 30-40. Most modern macs run at 100+ degrees constantly.

The M2 macs can barely play games as well as the Steam deck. What games are you playing?

No, it just means that most likely the people complaining are running video games for hours utilizing ray tracing. And then having a shocked pikachu face when it gets warm.
