Close relative of mine has HIV but you wouldn't notice at all. Lives relatively normal EXCEPT for always having to take his pills everyday. He could never just get up and move to another country or anything crazy like that because he always will need to be where the pills are at. I think that pretty limiting but I mean hey it's better than getting aids and dying.

Scary thought knowing that if society just falls apart one day he will eventually succumb to it.

It depends upon the type of cancer, but having cancer would be much worse than having HIV in my opinion.

Depends on what type of cancer. Testicular cancer or skin cancer are easy to cure. Their 10 year survival rates are like over 90%. HIV is pretty survivable nowadays tho.
