It's more of an R/P thing, so if you don't frequent there then you're missing a lot of the context. A big part of it is that he has a tendency to post a bunch of moronic pseudointellectual drivel with little to no substance, while thinking he is FAR more intelligent than he actually is. Also, his behavior just in this thread alone should also give you a good idea of why.

He's also a proven fraud. He tried claiming the school he's getting his PhD at (if he really is getting one) is ranked top 40 globally. Turns out it is ranked 1,007.

Amended. And I did attend the University of Newcastle for my undergrad work, but it's not where I'm doing my PhD.


Whilst Newcastle is ranked around 197 in the world, where I'm at now is in the top 40 and much closer to Cornell in the world rankings.

I just looked at the unofficial transcript provided in another thread.

For my part, I’ll have to say inconclusive.

I guess it’s from an Australian institution? I’ll say that it doesn’t look anything like an American transcript. But if it’s from an Australian school, I guess I wouldn’t expect it to. For example, a doctorate-level transcript from an American school would have information from previous institutions as well (bachelor’s and master’s degree completion/GPA, etc.).

So for me it’s inconclusive.

I've been over this burden of proof chit already. Burdens of proof only apply in debates where both parties are there by consent, or else if you make some outlandish claim that defies intrinsic probability.

The 1000lb bench would be world record breaking or near enough no, so that's a whopping claim. But going to grad school, or owning a house, or having a decent income are everyday things which don't really justify squeaking.

Seems like miscers just get extremely jealous that not everyone is failing at evolution in some basement somewhere. The solution to that is to get out there and start succeeding, not flap your hands like an aspie.

That doesn't really change or fix your busted logic. Nothing should be assumed true unless it can be proven false. It's the other way around. Again, I'm not saying this should necessarily be applied to every claim everyone makes.

In certain programs, it is a great achievement.example... In PhD of marketing in the US, there are like 100 accredited programs. Most programs take like 2 to 3 people per year. They get hundreds of applicants from very motivated individuals.Good luck getting into a top 50 program as a white or asian unless u have a 750+ gmat, 3.75+ gpa, and work at a top company
