Even if you disassociate trump from the other politicians, you simply don't live through the 80's and 90's as a real estate mogul in New York, and not get to his status without a bit of corruption.

What he probably would have been able to take to the grave with him is now coming to light because he's put himself in the spotlight (no pun intended) by inserting himself into politics, and there's nothing particularly special or unique about that. It happens to pretty much every politician that is the front-runner in an election. Hell, it happens even on the local level for positions like Mayor and City Council. It isn't a conspiracy to take down trump because he "knows the truth" or is trying to "take down the deep state" or some such nonsense, its just politics.

Worth mentioning that there's always an issue with Trump's lawyers. There is also the judge's ordering of sanctions for the lawyers, of around $7500 apiece, for making frivolous arguments in their court filings.
