Starfield is easily the game of the generation for me so far

Why is it that anyone who has a realistic, objective view of Starfield is immediately lumped into the autistic reddit neckbeard troll category of people? I can criticize the very obvious lazy design of many parts of starfield while not completely hating the game. I can openly admit I think the game will be a lot of fun with a pile of mods but the base game is underwhelming. I can be transparent that I think the game performs like chit compared to similar games. That doesn't mean it's not enjoyable or fun. It's just not a AAA game. Period. I'm still interested in playing it. Bethesda RPG mechanics are really good tbf I'm curious what kind of adventures I can get in space with this game. Yeah would have been good at 40 or 50 but the reality is it's priced high to encourage people to check out the alternative which is Gamepass.

And also to create the perception that it's a modern AAA game.

Game looks good but runs like poorly and has an old engine. I don't think that disqualifies it from being an aaa game... It has more content then most of the games people consider aaa, and will have a 10x longer shelf life than most aaa single player games due to mods.

If this game isn't triple a then neither is any assassin's creed, battlefield, call of duty... or any other game that just gets reskinned and pushed out for 70 bucks. Yall just nitpicking.

When comparing to AC ODYSSEY, you can quickly tell the differences in attention to detail. Every location in that world is historically accurate to a degree, & you can even delve into the history of all the archeological sites. The story line of unveiling the cult, family drama, ship battles, real exploration that has payoff, all make it a AAA game, while Starfield simply doesn’t put out what we should be seeing in 2023.

I’m sure it’s a fun game once you get more in depth, but with so many good games out there, & so little time, I just don’t have the patience.

It's definitely an AAA blockbuster game. I just think it was rushed. I saw a few posts where people discussed certain downfalls about the game and one of them stood out to me in particular.

They were saying that it doesn't feel like there are many huge hype moments or crazy set pieces. An example I can give is in Mass Effect 3. There's this one part when you're sent out on a mission on a moon to retrieve a VIP target. You land there and there's a full on war happening. You can see the trenches and outposts. You can see giant alien machines stomping around in the back and ships in the air fighting it out. Of course you can't interact with them, it's a linear game but it really just sets the tone and makes you feel like you're doing an extraction in the middle of a big war.

Look at a couple minutes and tell me if Starfield has stuff like this

Poopisoft released 5 full AC games and revamped gameplay twice in the same timeframe Todd managed to cook up a schitty space mod for Fallout. While having zero other projects.
