Mighty Mouse here, just wanted to drop this piece of reporting in.
Now you may feel different, that’s fine, I’m just reporting in.
So yesterday was post neck training day, the day after neck isn’t fun fellas, especially if I’m being insane and well it was insanity, I pushed it hard on the neck.
The end of yesterday had myself a headache and went up to the store got A fit crunch bar. It’s a delicious bar, however it made me feel worse.
I ate dinner and hit the sack.
I woke up today with the lingering head pain. I ate a banana, didn’t help it.
I decided to start nibbling on Dave’s Killer Cinnamon Raisin Remix whole grain organic bagels, with no spread. Fellas, the more begals I ate, the more life I felt!
I demolished my squat workout today, with high paced tempo!
I’m actually going to scrap these fuking bars and just carry a bag of healthy bagels with me.
Most bbers are afraid of consuming these but I feel with effective training methods they are a game changer.
The bars have been making me feel like chit. The fit crunch bar is chit on the stomach and the builder bar makes me feel like I’m diabetic.
We will see how it goes!

This exactly why bodybuilders are afraid to eat them.
Whole grain Bagals have fiber and yes carbs. Eating these post workout are utilized for muscle building.
High protein is overrated I feel, I think the key to building muscles is to use what’s going to make your workouts better along with what it does post workout.
If you sit on your azz more than you train, well then you better not eat a lot of bagels. If you are properly utilizing the bagels, well your gold!
I’m sticking with it for now.
High protein low carb does little for me for energy and even building muscle. You need energy to build more and more muscle.Authentic Knights Swing Heavy Steel and Have Hands and Wrists of Steel!

So the bar made you feel worse?
Maybe you were just scared to get caught drinking milk and your Blood Pressure was up.
Did you expect eating a banana to fix your headache? have you tried it as a suppository? It will probably last longer if you don't peel it.
How many did you eat?
Because of the Bagels?
I am not a Bageloloigist or anything but I don't know if there is any such thing as a Healthy Bagel. however some may not be as unhealthy as others.

Yes.
I didn’t expect anything to fix my headache, but the bagels made me energized, the banana sugar made my head worse.
I went into the workout with slight head pain, but more energy. Post workout= headache gone.
I ate 1.5 without any spread.
Yes, the bagels did it.
I ate the other half of a bagel post workout with some eggs.
Feel like a million bucks now.
My neck is no longer sore either.
The thought of eating a bar or any white bread makes me wanna vomit. I’ll take another whole grain bagel.Authentic Knights Swing Heavy Steel and Have Hands and Wrists of Steel!

I do have a sit down job so maybe. But I train throughout the day, at least building up to it. Eat/train, eat/train.
So here you are with your little poke at me, forgetting that my training methods compensate for this.
You are clueless to how the body feels and does to recover from weekly 100rep squats, and that’s light day. Yesterday was heavy day on squats for 45reps.
People wouldn’t even survive that with thier high protein low carb diets.
And getting shredded for super high protein diets isn’t exactly healthy either. But that’s cool, cause I’m talking about building muscle.Authentic Knights Swing Heavy Steel and Have Hands and Wrists of Steel!

No
These things look simple on paper but like low carb brotein shakes there's weirdness at play.
The issue is that eating /drinking some of these shakes and bars, the low calorie/low carb ones, can stimulate the liver into dumping a load of sugar into the blood. So in terms of blood glucose response you might find wholegrain bagels (even with their higher carbs) to be lower GI. It might be unintuitive and doesn't make sense at first, but it's observed.

Good post Tom, and this is exactly my reasoning here, for ditching the bars which are convenient but chitty product for another convienant product that seems to be more quality for the purposes of what I want to do, which is get something in me that will fuel training.
Protein bars are better than a Mars bar, but they really do make me feel funny. Whole grain bagels seem to be way better than the bars.
BTW, I haven’t eaten any bagels today, as I’m stilling feeling real good still from yesterday. Today is a leftovers day.
I also ate another half bagel yesterday after my post workout bagel spread with natty PB and pumpkin seeds (about 500 calories there fellas). I was jacked up hitting erronds in super fast time!Authentic Knights Swing Heavy Steel and Have Hands and Wrists of Steel!

Wholemeal bagels will cause less spikes and crashes in blood glucose that say... a low carb protein shake/bar, but the bagel will contain less protein. If you just want to maximize protein per calorie then the shakes/bars are the way to go
So which is "better" depends on your goals. The bagels will be less processed, so that's another strength of theirs. Personally I find wholemeal bagels more long term filling, so they'd work better for me.
Buttoday I ate one brotein bar and zero bagels, so I didn't practice what I advise above

I’m not brotiening, IMO brotiening will only put a few ounces of muscle on a year.
The bagels build succulence and bulberousness. I do the super high rep squats for the oxygen intake that pump up the suckulance and keep the mid section small, will I be Jonny underwear model 6-six pack, no, I’m ok with a V shape and some definition with plumpness buldging from the shirt!!!
You can’t have it both anyway. Fall is about here, no ones taking thier shirts off.Authentic Knights Swing Heavy Steel and Have Hands and Wrists of Steel!

Pockets, here’s how you utilize the bagels for maximum plump pumped muscle that pops out of the shirts.
I’ve already trained earlier today, but guess what.
I’m going to be passing by the garage to take the dog for a walk, I’m going to hit a 50-60rep bent over side laterals on my way.
.......then eat a bagel.

You eat what you want, you are a grown ass man, but it isn't the food causing the pains it is the exercises.
that strain on the head neck and squeeze gives me bad headaches too.
everything stays tight and inflexible and squeezes the arteries to the head.

It’s been a full week and I haven’t ate one protein bar, interesting enough I haven’t had any of that strange vision feeling, you know a high sugar type feeling.
I’ve eaten several packs of whole grain bagels this week. Muscles are growing and mid section is on point.
I have a few of these bars though which I’m going to eat, I can’t throw away calories. I’m interested to see how I feel eating one, I think I know though how I’m gonna feel. I just wanted to cut them off for a period to prove this.Authentic Knights Swing Heavy Steel and Have Hands and Wrists of Steel!
