Titanfall 2 Receives First Major Update In Years Anyone going back?

It's been a rough couple of years for Titanfall 2 players, but it looks like that may be about to change. After years of minimal upkeep and no new content, the game is finally getting some much-needed TLC with the release of a new game update. As this is first major update the game has received in quite a long time, observant fans are getting the distinct sense that something is up--especially after a Titanfall Easter egg was discovered in Apex Legends patch notes that were released earlier this week.

The update itself includes fixes to matchmaking an improved server stability, making Titanfall 2 playable for the first time in years. Additionally, after eight years, Titanfall 2 private matches have been taken out of beta (which isn't too shocking, as Apex Legends players gained access to the private match feature earlier this year). New and old game modes have been added as well, and have been rotating ever since the update went live last week. The 1v1 Coliseum mode got a similar update, with new weapons added and weapon loadouts rotating regularly once again. Changes to map geometry, fixed glitches, and remedied out-of-bounds exploits have also been addressed by the massive update, but perhaps the most interesting map feature is the addition of small Nessie plushies (Apex's mascot) holding hammers, which have appeared in areas of the maps that were recently fixed. This may be a reference to Respawn's recent announcement revealing devs had banned over 2,000 cheaters from Apex Legends. With Titanfall 2's servers finally functional again, it's possible that some players also received a whack from the banhammer.

TitanFall 3 needs to happen because Apex has been trash lately. Allegedly Respawn opened a second studio and will revamp Apex on the next Anniversary. Maybe we'll get a promising announcement? I wish lol.

One of my favorite games of all time. Loved the first one two. First time mech combat was done right imo and was a revolutionary shooter, did walk running etc the proper way long before COD.

The campaign on this game is so good, highly underrated.

I might re-download actually I loved tf2. It was so good but it launched like a week after a battlefield or something so it just never popped off too much.


I loved the Titanfall games and I love apex legends. The engine of those games is just awesome for incredible movement and fast paced fps. The tf2 speed runs were wild too

Wtf has there ever been a game that was neglected for that long before finally getting an update? I played both on XBone early in the consoles life, feels like a lifetime ago tbh.
It was 'underrated' because the story mode was like 6 hours long.

I preordered it and it's currently still sealed in original plastic in a pile or **** under the bed, I'll have to remember to play it after I've finished replaying the Wolfenstein games.

I remember them doing that and legit being sad that T2 didnt get the recognition it truly deserved. One of the most wtf moments of video game history for me.

No one is but hey man they threw an update and people came back to play for a bit. It'll die out mostly in a few weeks again I'm sure, but until then nows a fun time to dive back in since there's alot of other noobs playing. In a month or two the only ones left will be the die hards.

Played a bit, just as fun as I remember. I feel like I just get an extra tingly feeling playing since I'm an apex sweat lord and Titanfall birthed apex

I didn’t notice any issues and was able to find a new match within a couple minutes each time if that.
