No matter what they deal with here, often it's a massive upgrade from where they came from. And they have no problem packing ten people inside a two or three bedroom place, which is why they are able to afford homes.

Toronto has a population density of about 5k people per square kilometer and it feels packed. Mumbai is over 30k people per square kilometer. It's like paradise for them.

They are already here and you're not going to get rid of them but the government seriously needs to turn the tap off.

Fellow Albertan here. I can't believe how badly the Canadian government has screwed over Indian immigrants. They lured them here with promises of a better future, and yet in reality, Canada is one big giant TRAP. Does the average Indian living in India right now know that house prices have doubled in the last few years. DOUBLED? I highly doubt it. They probably still think Canada is some incredible paradise based on what their friends and familty now living in Canada tell them. Little did they know their Canadian friends and family are perpetuating one GIANT LIE in order to keep immigrants flowing into Canada, boosting their home prices (if they are lucky to own one). I can't believe Indians still fall for it after all these years.
