I like them, my arms have been strong point for me for a while. A nickname that was given to me by a group of guys at the gym was Mr Arms because of how my arms stood out, the long muscle belly, and because of my approach to training arms. As a lifetime natural right now at 5’7 my arms are 18.25 flexed cold. In my avi they are 17.25 and that’s a picture from like 6 years ago when I was 20.
I like and always have liked to use a variety of exercise selection for arms. I can say that for arms exercise selection matters a lot. Arm training has always interested me the most, I’ve always put that extra effort and experimentation into training them.
Drag curls are really good for the long head of the bicep, and are a viable alternative to incline curls. My advice is to do them with DBs as a BB can impede that last little bit contraction, there is more freedom of movement with DBs. Trust me, you’ll notice a difference, they are more comfortable that way too.Last edited by SicilianPower; 08-27-2023 at 08:27 PM.

Solid. If you have access to one of these things it is a pretty good way to keep regular curls strictly on the biceps:

There is no single “best” exercise but there are great exercises, good exercises, fine exercises, and poor exercises.
So for bicep training this would be my tier list.
Great - Two Arm DB Preacher Curls, Straight Bar Preacher Curls, Preacher Machine, DB Incline Curls, BB curls, Spider Curls, Hammer Curls.
Good - Draper Curls, Pinwheel Curls, Chest Expander Curls, DB curls, Concentration Curls, Arnold Concentration Curls, Drag Curls, Standing Cable Curls, Laying Cable Curl, Behind Back Cable Curls.
Fine - Chin ups, Overhead Cable Curls, Crucifix Curls, Zottman Curls, Scoop Curls.
Poor - Waiter Curls, E-Z Bar Curls, Reverse Curls, Bullworker Curls, Resistance Band Curls.
There are more exercises but these are enough to list for now, and this is ranked according to my opinion and experience..also tricep training is a massive aspect when it comes to getting big arms. I’ve done just as much experimenting with tricep exercises and for me they are harder to grow and require even more specific exercise specialization.*MMA Crew

Yeah that’s probably the only exercise for biceps that an E-Z bar works better than a straight bar. For me I am partial to DBs for that exercise though.
I know some people really like the E-Z bar, I know Arnold was a fan of it. But for me it’s never produced results. But that is part of the journey of weight training..finding what works best for you specifically.*MMA Crew
