I live here in Lahaina on the more northern side so I wasn't affected but I had no power for 5 days.. We don't have phone service and when we do it's spotty at best. I don't think people understand the devastation of everything. The sisters house was burnt to ash and my mom lost her apartment. There are hundreds of dead bodies most likely going into the 1000s but they're not reporting it. I'm going to make a thread on this, my experience and provide pictures and evidence on why this was pre planned(ded fkn srs)

There are literally 100s of bodies on front street. So many videos out there unable to be uploaded because no internet. It'll all come out soon enough.

With Katrina we knew at least 4 days beforehand that it had a chance to be catastrophic, 2 days before, it was a certainty.

I'm not blaming one President or one political party, but I've never heard one thing positive about FEMA.

President Biden has authorized the federal government to deliver Hawaii "whatever it needs" for recovery efforts following devastating wildfires on Maui, he announced Tuesday.

I can't help but wonder how people smell smoke, hear screaming and sirens, but somehow don't attempt to leave buildings until they are engulfed in flames. I think if I lived near the beach, the first thing I would do in a wildfire situation would be go to the beach and be ready to stand in the water if necessary. There is literally nothing that would make me stand around and be willing to burn to death in an active fire zone.

Watched a bit of news this morning and it was horrific, they were saying that because of the damage to infrastructure there wasn't even enough water pressure to fight the fire in some areas.

I can't even to begin to imagine what people went through during this. Sad, very sad.

But, why would power lines be so vulnerable to arching if a tree falls on them? Seems like the engineers or designers of the powerlines may not have taken simple possibilities into consideration. That is negligence.

a theory of mine:

purposeful negligence of failing to repair sparking electrical lines could very well been how it was pre-planned. they knew it was a ticking time bomb and was just a matter of time.

That's crazy that police were blocking people from leaving the fire zone and making them get burned up in their cars! Who gave that order? And it's interesting how they have the entire area blocked off with armed National Guard and the squads of undercover agents in unmarked civilian type cars.
