This is the only company I’ve ever worked at that supplied 2-ply toilet paper in its bathrooms. I love it. Everywhere else has only had 1-ply that ripped through your fingers so you’d get chit on your hands and TP dingleberries in your hairy angus.

Also I can take long lunches without anyone noticing or caring.

Self employed crew. Today is great because I only have one client and spend all day doing admin stuff and writing, then I get to pick up my kids from camp after running errands and enjoy the afternoon with them.

Pros and cons to having your own hours, but I can't imagine working a regular 9-5 anymore.

Very very accomodating and flexible. I’m casual while I’m in uni full time and they’re hella chill. Whenever I can’t work they have no issue with it and whenever I want to work more days, they usually always give it to me. Also, it’s $32/hour. Can’t complain at all.

I have a lot of PTO. It's one of the main reasons I haven't looked for anything else. I also like that they are pretty flexible with making up time instead of making us use PTO for Dr visits or other stuff.

Although I'm not the owner, I call all the shots and tell them when I'm going to be off, when I'll be late, who I'm hiring/firing. I am completely autonomous. ALL decisions are mine, literally. I have a good crew who get along good and do whatever I ask of them and I treat them very well because I remember being in their shoes. Great pay, absolutely ZERO woke anything. Owners are very conservative Pakis. Work in a field I really like. My "departement" is the star of the place and make profit consistently. I'm the golden child, but I'm humble, charming and helpful.

A unit went down at the refinery last week. No big deal. There is a back up unit for everything while the other gets fixed. The backup unit went down yesterday. It's costing the refinery about 50,000,000 a day if they are both down. All my rentals will be occupied by this weekend by contractors to get the refinery up and running again.
