At least In the 90’s there was an excuse for that - no internet, not nearly enough tapes and (non-WWF) magazine buyers to have any clue.

Japan Hogan was amazing! His technical wrestling was 2nd to no one. Japan Hogan was more technical than Brett Hart, no comparison. However, less is more. Less is needed honestly when considering longevity for the athlete. Another example is the Undertaker, he did a lot bigger move set in the ring as Mean Mark than as the Undertaker.

He used to get the crowd going and put on a good show for the time. Lots of things didn't age well compared to modern day stuff

Had no idea he wrestled in Japan during his peak years. Hulkster also looked alot more agile than I thought during that match.

Hogan talked about his tours of the orient. He mentioned stories of he and Andre having neighboring hotel rooms in between shows and Andre instructing hogan to make sure he listened in on him slaying and playing with little Asian women. Hogan claims he didn’t partake because he was happily married at the time.
