The point is America has made major strides in computing. We have the best universities and poach all the elites dude. Agreed that the vast majority are retards. China will pass us soon if they haven't already. And good riddance. I'd like to see a truly powerful atheist socialist state once more.

Yes, America ahs made a lot off contributions to computing. Arguably their greatest contribution.

I don't agree America has the best universities. Most universities teach the same stuff and the concept as a whole is somewhat flawed.

The true determinant of the best universities is how many high quality students they pump out. In which case China has the best universities.

I personally think the combination of the number of high quality students and their direction into critical industries is key. Its key to integrate universities with industry so that the best and brightest go into future technology and industry.

Most western unis are pumping out students with degrees in soft subjects and then directing them into Bullchit proffesions. Which is why in the West university degrees are degrading in value. The best students from western universities are over allocated into financial and legal professsions.

In reality the only subjects worth studying are STEM degrees and then for those students to go into engineering. Engineering is where all of the advancements of technology are developed. A gender studies degree from harvard wont do anything meaningful.


Based on my criteria I expect China and India have the best Universities.
