Russia never had a force large enough to take Kyiv and only now they do. 30k v 3,000,000 doesn't pan out. The real story is they likely wanted to fix Ukrainian forces as they wouldn't respond to the south or Donbas while keeping and holding a bridgehead from Belarus north of the city in an attempt to threaten a decapitation.
Russia will not fight outside of doctrinal formation. Any threat of loss triggers a fallback to themselves bolstering a defensive line, period. Likewise the timing lines up with negotiations but that doesn't mean it's why they left. If they were never going to attack and the Ukrainians fought back like hell, why would they stay in accordance with doctrine.
False notions of how you think Russia fights is harmful. They can get their ass handed to them but they won't stay and let it continue. The Kharkov offensive was immensely costly to Ukraine in men and equipment. There was hardly any resistance until the Ukrainians hit their fallback like in Kreminna which to this day cannot be recovered. Much is to be said in similarity to "defending" Kyiv however Russians set off millions of artillery rounds at Ukrainians during that offensive.
Kherson is fishy and it is clear the intent was to move behind a geographical boundary in the end. The vdv held a bridgehead and the previous (to Surovikin) staff liked wanted it held to head towards Odessa bit the Ukrainian resistance was too strong.
These are complex issues just as Ukraine was ejected from the landbridge doesn't mean they are a great fighting force however, them slamming into large Russian fortifications is, on its face, foolish. The Russians waited and prepared for this for9 months.Homerotic Modulator, Envious of Idiocy

Maybe you should pay a closer attention to your home before worrying about Russia’s collapse.
Your own media reporting 20% food inflation, rising cost of living increases, interest rate increases and now your people are running out of money.
Russian money left UK, and I’m sure many to follow as you are no longer a safe place to keep your money in.
Bruv, your country is already a 2nd world, imagine another 5 years.

In reality, it was about three months. Watch from February 8th. They only committed then.

The UK is not a poor country.
We have a situation where there are pockets of affluence and large amounts of poor people.
The media always focuses on the poor people, but in reality there are areas with a lot of wealthy people. Primarily down in the South East. I work remotely in the South East and I don't tell my friends (where i live) how much I earn.
Although it's not like the US, where you have average guys making huge sums. In the UK you have to be skilled to make a lot of money.
Europe as a whole is in a period of decline however. The issue is multi-faceted. Some of the issues include:
- Over generous welfare
- Over generous pensions for the previous generation
- Too few kids
- High cost of energy/food
- A focus on LGBT, feminism and mental health has made thee next generation lazy and weak
- Overspending on foreign aid and military
- A lack of focus on STEM subjects; ther was twenty years or so where a huge number of people who went to Uni studied absolute nonsense.
- Growth in the leech class of people. The amoutn of people relying on the government has reach ridiculous levels. Something like 55% of the UK is deppendant on the government.
- Net Zero has harmed British industries.

Russian bitches are freaking out right now over some drones flying in Moscow.
"muh terrorist attack"
But hundreds of drones they send to bomb Ukrainian residential buildings every day is all good in their book.
Russians must not know what hypocrisy is though, because they are a bunch of immoral braindead orcs who live by their own rules in their own fantasy schizoland. And then they wonder why no one wants to be friends with them and why they get isolated from the rest of the world.

Most ethnic minorities are low IQ durka's that at best are pizza delivery boys, they will get defeated in an afternoon if sh*t really hits the fan. Western euros are just too tolerant and cucked by laws, ethnics don't care about the law. But if society keeps deteriorating that can change very fast.
Also eastern euros will destroy any poverty ethnic living in the west. Most ethnics in western europe are also north africans and are smaller and weaker than the averarge european.
