IMO you don't have enough muscle to justify a legit cut. I'd just eat at a slight surplus while doing a proper lifting program. But do what corresponds with how you want to look.

I wouldn't pre-determine any weight target on the scale. Use the mirror as your guide, or you might end up putting on the same fat that you just lost.

Definitely bulk. Not enough mass to look good after a cut. I'd do a regular bulk at 500+ calories over baseline and just accept the extra bit of fat. I do it. Bulking is for putting on size.

Keep your eyes on the prize of looking good lean with more mass. Aim for 8-10 lbs of mass at first.
    Back off, Warchild.

    Seriously.

If you decide to bulk, take my word for it and do it in a very slow, measured way. I went from 155 looking pretty good to 195 and fat again because I let my 6-month 'slow bulk' get out of control. And trust me, the weight is a hell of a lot harder to lose the second time around. If I had to do it over again, and I will once I get cut again, I would only do a 250-calorie surplus, and I'd probably do a mini-cut every couple of months.
Progress from February to August 2022

    1RM's @170 lbs.:
    Bench - 160 to 220
    Squat - 195 to 285
    Lat Pulldown - 195 to 275
    Overhead Press - 115 to 155
    Rack Pull - 320 to 500
