You know.. it would've saved his life if public school actually taught anything useful, you know like don't jump into the ocean on a booze cruise, how currents work, that sharks follow ships etc etc
NPC personality, no inner conscious speaking to him; teens do retarded things(myself included) but it never occurred to me to jump off a perfectly good ship*Tolerance is the lube that slides the dildo of dysfunction into the ass of civilized society*

Kid probably got mauled by an ocean pitbull within 2 minutes srs; they follow ships in packs because workers/guests just throw left over food overboard to save costs
Either that or the current dragged him under since no flotation device
It's pitch black out there, no way they could see him*Tolerance is the lube that slides the dildo of dysfunction into the ass of civilized society*

If you're just talking from a scientific perspective of saltwater vs. fresh, then sure. But the middle of the ocean has waves too, some of which are plenty big. You'll have to work much harder from getting dunked under stranded in the middle of the ocean than a lake or a pool. I'm not even talking about currents pulling you one direction or another, just the activity of the waves themselves requires much more exertion to keep your head above them.
