Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness or DOMS as they're commonly referred to aren't normal after every workout. You'll only feel them if you have taken a break from training and then return. You can sometimes get them by introducing new exercises to your routine which work the target muscle group in a different way, but it's usually reduced.

Spanishdream is right on the money. However, if you are "bodybuilding" (training for size or aesthetics) and you are not "feeling" your muscles contract during your workout, your form may be off and you are compensating.

I'm guilty of that sh*t too, waiting for somebody to powder my nuts cuz I did 20 reps of whatever the **** on the bench. Big f*king deal. It is all relative." G Diesel

If you get chest pain after running and are not in good physical condition, you may have overdone your activity. chest pains and cramps. After activity, tightness and pain might be brought on by chest muscle cramps. Dehydration is the most prevalent cause of muscle cramps, but there are other causes as well.
