I don’t know why you continue to defend Trump when he does so much to hurt people in a similar financial situation as you talk about being in. It’s obvious to Trump that failing a business which hurts other people while making him money is still a success. As a businessman, he was reasonably careful who he screwed over like this. Small businesses were easy to do this to - convince them they were going to get a huge valuable contract, take their services, then not pay and either offer a fraction of what was owed or put the debt against one of his failing enterprises. The casinos are just another example as he tied as much of his personal debts to any as he could while he siphoned off the income to himself, putting the costs on everyone but himself while enriching no-one but himself.

He's always been able to tie everything up in litigation & just wait until the ppl suing him can't afford to keep going. Although he’s finding that to be a bit difficult to do when he's up against the Federal, NY State, & GA State governments. They have more time & resources than him by far. We’ll see how that goes for him.

So I decided to take a peak at what he posted. There is absolutely going to be a third defamation trial. Her civil suits against Trump could surpass the Fast and Furious franchise.

In one post he says:

"Can you believe I have to defend myself against this woman’s fake story?!"

And then links to an interview with Carroll.

He then seems to have dug up and reposted every tweet she has ever made since like 2011 that relates to sex, including jokes about sex.

Best I can tell is he is trying to imply that a woman who jokes about and enjoys sex could never have been raped by Donald Trump. I'm sure the judge will love this. And Carroll is not even suing over the rape. She has not alleged that she was traumatized or has some sort of ongoing psychological issues because of the rape. Her lawsuit is entirely about the defamation that Trump perpetrated, and the harm it caused to her both personally and professionally.

So for anyone wondering, it was 2 posts where he opens himself up to additional damages for defamation, and then 22 posts where he is reposting sex-themed tweets Carroll made that have nothing to do with the attack in an attempt to slut shame her.

All I said was as I made more money via a better career it was more stress, more headaches, I had to spend more and all for the gubmit to take more, in which, to me, I’m no longer motivated to put myself in more stress in a career I won’t be that happy in along with having more money taken from me that cost me stress, headaches and pain.

I had a very hard time speaking IT stuff and even trying to comprehend it. I used to feel like I’d chit my pants on every fuking meeting, multiple times a day. I faked it for over 5 years. I never even owned a computer till age 36, but I had no choice.

I was very happy when I got a promotion but when I saw what I was getting after taxes I was fuking pissed, because i was still going to fuking struggle after all that, still fuking struggling. The only thing that helped me was COVID because I didnt have to drive to work, which BTW was ok when T was POTUS and I bought my house just in time, because of T I got an excellent interest rate, I couldn’t imagine buying a house now at these rates.

It's almost like the consequences of government policy don't always present themselves immediately and might take time to actually manifest. Most of the policies of presidents play out over years, not weeks or months.

Trump inherited an economy from Obama that was trending upwards after fixes from the financial crisis were put in place.

Zero percent interest rates are good for incentivizing economic activity during a crisis, but they inevitably create bubbles and weird behaviors if unchecked for too long.

Trump continued to deficit spend while rates were kept down during times of non-crisis and prosperity.

What that does is overheat the economy, cause speculation, and removes your ability to respond to emergencies if conditions change.

But for the most part presidents have a minor effect on the economy in the short term with a larger effect in the long term.
